Day 2 ( Yangon – Bagan )

Early breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. Sites to visit in Bagan are Nyaung U market, Shwezigon Pagoda – built in ( 1084 – 1113 ), Kyansittha Umin near Nat Hlaung Kyaung, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukgyi Temple – with fine mural painting of Jatakas scenes in Nyaung U area. Then proceed to visit Htilominlo – to see its well known plaster carvings, Ananda – an architectural masterpiece, Tharabar Gate, Shwegugyi Temple & Thatbyinnyu Temple – highest in Bagan. Lunch. Continue to Myingaba Village monuments which are Manuha – with gigantic Buddha image, Nanpaya Temples – an early style with the finest stone carving. Back to Bagan to visit lacquer ware industries, Dhamayangyi Temple & enjoy sun set from Mingalar Zedi or Shwesandaw Pagoda. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 ( Bagan ) 

Morning sightseeing to Minnanthu village area. Sulamani Pagoda, Laymyetnha Temple, Payathonezu Temple with colorful paintings & Thanbula Pagoda. Then proceed to see the daily life style of Bagan people, Dhamayazika Pagoda and Su Taung Pyay Oak Kyaung in Pwar Saw Village, Lawkananda Pagoda – a landmark of Bagan in Thiripyitsaya village. Gawdawpalin Temple, Shwegugyi Temple & sunset from Bupaya – standing close to Irrawaddy River. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 ( Bagan – Yangon )

After breakfast check out hotel & drive to Bagan airport. Arrive Yangon & check in hotel. Afternoon tour starts after lunch. The sites are Kaba Aye Pagoda ( World Peace ), Mahapasana Cave – when sixth Buddha Synod took place in 1956, China town, Yangon jetty, colonial style buildings & Botataung Pagoda . Dinner. Day 3 ( Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay ) 

Morning visit to Mingun village by boat. Proceed to Mingun village, the site of the world’s largest bronze ringing bell, 3.7 meters high and 90 tons in weight. Also visit the huge but unfinished Mingun Paya built to be the world’s largest pagoda and beautiful Shinphyume Paya. Drive back to Mandalay. Lunch. Afternoon tour include Mahamuni Pagoda, with its spectacular Buddha image covered in thick layers of gold leaves, Shwenandaw Kyaung or Golden Palace Monastery, famous for its wood carvings, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world’s biggest book, sunset from Mandalay Hill. After breakfast start to drive to Nyaung Shwe ( 90 km. ). Check in hotel. Visit Inle by boat. The famous sites are typical floating garden, leg rowers, local ways of fishing, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, jumping cat monastery, the weaving village of Inpawkhon. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 4 ( Inle – Nyaung Shwe – Taunggyi – Kakku – Aye Tha Yar )

After breakfast excursion visit to Taunggyi & Kakku. Taunggyi, over 1,440 eter above sea level is the capital of Shan State. ( famous for the fire balloon festival held annually at the full moon of Tazaungmone / November ). Visit gem market in Taunggyi . Then proceed to Kakku, 46 km. ( one & half hours. drive ) south of Taunggyi, situated in Pa O region. Lunch at Kakku’s Laing Kun Restaurant. Visit around Kakku & drive back to Taunggyi. Then to Aye Thar Yar Golf Resort – famous country style steep roof bungalows with panoramic view of blue green mountains & fairways lined by Pine & Eucalyptus trees. Day 3 ( Kyaikhtiyo – Bago - Pyay )

Early morning view around the pagoda. You will see many people praying & offering soon ( breakfast ) to the Lord Buddha which is an amazing sight. Climb down to base camp & change back to our car & drive back to Bago. Then proceed to Pyay

about 6 hrs. drive. Check in hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 ( Pyay – Akauktaung - Pyay )

After breakfast drive from Pyay to Htonebo village ( 58 km. ). Then take a 15 mins. cruise to Akauktaung. In the afternoon highlights in Pyay are stupas Payagyi & Payma whose architecture resembles ancient Indian style, the Srikshetra – an old capital of Pyu Kingdom, Hmaw Zar Archaeological Museum & sun set from Shwesandaw Pagoda for scenic beauty over town & Irrawaddy River. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 ( Pyay - Bagan )

Early breakfast. Drive 350 km = 217 miles ( about 9 hrs. drive ) to Bagan. Arrive Bagan late afternoon. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 ( Bagan )

Whole day visit in Bagan. Sightseeing to Nyaung Oo Market to see traditional Burmese way of life. Then the worthy site to visit are Shwezigone Pagoda – built ( 1084 – 1113 ), Kyansittha Umin near Nat – Hlaung Kyaung, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukgyi Temple – with fine mural painting of Jatakas scenes, Htilominlo – famous for its plaster carvings, Ananda – an architectural masterpiece, Thatbyinnyu Temple – highest in Bagan. Lunch. Continue visiting to Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha Image, Nanpaya Temple at Myinkaba Village an early style with the finest stone carvings. Also visit lacquer ware industry & Dhamayangyi – the most massive temple in Bagan. Enjoy sun set from Mingalar Zedi or Shwesandaw Pagoda. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 ( Bagan – Popa - Kalaw )

To enjoy the life of village people we drive to Mt. Popa ( 42 km from Bagan ), which is an extinct Volcano. Limit your time to climb up & down. Then proceed to Kalaw ( 216 km. ), a favorite hill station with ever green Pine trees. Dinner. Check in & overnight at hotel.

Day 8 ( Kalaw Trekking )

Kalaw is 1400 meters above sea level, you can trek the surrounding areas of Kalaw. For trekking to the two Palaung village ( Ywa Thit & Ta Yaw ) about 17 km where you can see the tea plantation on the slope of the hill, long house with several families living together, traditional ways of life & beautiful panoramic view. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9 ( Kalaw – Pindaya - Inle )

After check out hotel & en route to the great scenic beauty of the country side --- taking you to Kalaw, Aung ban & Pindaya. Visit Pindaya Cave where there are countless Buddha images of different types, traditional hand made paper & umbrella making work shops. Then proceed to Nyaung Shwe ( 92 km) from Pindaya. Check in & overnight at hotel.

Day 10 ( Inle )

Excursion in Inle Lake by boat. The high lights include the colorful floating market, typical floating garden, leg rowers, native ways of fishing, traditional weaving industry, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda & jumping cat monastery. If the time permits traditional cheroot making, sliver smith industry & other sites. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 11 ( Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Kyaing Tong )

Check out hotel. Visit Nyaung Shwe. Lunch. Transfer to Heho airport for flight to Kyaing Tong. Check in hotel. Worthy sites to see are tomb of Kyaing Tong Saw Bwa, pottery works, an Old Church & over 2000 years old tree – Thittapin Taung Hill for panoramic view over Kyaing Tong. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 ( Kyaing Tong )

Breakfast at the hotel, start driving about 45 minutes to start a hiking tour into the Pin Tauk area. Lush mixed monsoon forest with a view to the plain rice fields looking like a huge, green patchwork blanket. Visit the villages of Akha and Enn tribes. Some are baptized, some tribes still animists. The Enn are an ethnic group which tourists have found particularly interesting labeling them the “ Black Teeth “ . The walk is not difficult and can be done slowly. They live on the higher slopes. They have distinctively different costumes and beliefs from the other tribes. Take lunch at Pin Tauk water-fall. Late afternoon come back to hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 ( Kyaing Tong - Yangon )

After breakfast, morning visit to Kyaing Tong Central Market & Water Buffalo Market at the outskirts of town. Visit ‘ Akha ‘ village 9 km north east of Kyaing Tong. In the afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Yangon. Take leisure time & rest. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 ( Departure Yangon )

After breakfast transfer to Yangon. Int’l Airport for departure flight.

Day 1 ( Yangon Arrival )

Arrive Yangon by international flight. Welcome & transfer to hotel. Some highlights of Yangon sightseeing – Sule Pagoda at the heart of city, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence monument, photo stop at Karaweik hall – a royal floating barge, National Museum to the 8 meters high Golden Lion Throne & Mandalay Royal Regalia, Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha, Bogyoke Market with hundreds of stores, the old colonial style city & dating back over 2000 years Shwedagon Pagoda. Day 2 ( Yangon – Mawlamyine )

Early breakfast. Start the journey & pass through Bago, Kyaikhtiyo, Thahton, Hpa An & Eindu. Arrival in Mawlamyine, the capital of Mon State, late in the afternoon. Check in hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 ( Mawlamyine )

Visit the local Zaygyi market. Excursion visit to Mudon ( 15 km, 1 hour ), Rubber Plantation, the numerous seasonal fruits grown there. Also a newly built huge reclining Buddha can be seen en route. Scenic at Kyauktalone a Buddha stupa & a Hindu temple. Return to Mawlamyine. Lunch. Afternoon sites are Mon state National Museum, Mahamuni Pagoda, Kyaikthalan Pagoda, Seindon Mibaya Kyaung & teak wood monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4 ( Mawlamyine – Kyaikhtiyo )

Morning across the Moattama Gulf by ferry boat & then proceed to Thahton – Kyaikhto by coach. From the base camp of Kyaikhtiyo ( Kinpun Sakan ) switch to the mountain climbing shuttle truck for drive to Ya Thae Taung. Then either climb on foot or take the sedan chair to Pagoda. Check in hotel. Enjoy the night view from pagoda & cool climate. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 ( Kyaikhtiyo – Bago )

Day 6 ( Bago – Kalaw )

Early breakfast & drive to Kalaw by coach. Passing the towns Taungoo – Pyinmana – Thazi. Kalaw, a favorite hill station with ever green Pine trees – the locals call it “ Pine Hill Paradise “. Check in hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 ( Kalaw – Pindaya – Nyaung Shwe / Inle )

After breakfast visit morning market in Kalaw to observe the hill tribes from surrounding villages. Also visit Shwe U Min Cave which is situated south of central Kalaw. Then proceed to Bamboo Strip Lacquer Buddha Image. Continue drive to Pindaya. The worthy sites are Pindaya Cave – thousand of the Buddha Images, Shan umbrella home industry. Drive to Nyaung Shwe. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8 ( Inle )

After breakfast check out hotel & drive to Heho airport to leave for Mandalay. Continue from airport to Mandalay about one hour drive. City tour in Mandalay are Mahamuni Pagoda, stone / wood carving, gold leaf making & silk weaving industries, Zaycho market, Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Kyaung or Golden Palace Monastery, Atumashi Kyaung, Kuthodaw Pagoda known as the world’s biggest book & enjoy sunset from Mandalay Hill. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 ( Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin – Mandalay )

Excursion to Pyin Oo Lwin ( former British hill station Maymyo ) which is 90 mins. up hill drive from Mandalay. Visit ---- Water fall, Peik Chin Myaung Gigantic Buddha statue, Forest museum, Chinese jog house, Maymyo Zay, 2000 acre Botanical Garden known as Kandawgyi Garden – it was formerly the best landscaped garden in south east Asia. Enjoy the beauty of worthy sites. In the afternoon drive back to Mandalay. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 ( Mandalay – Amarapura – Monywa )

After breakfast, start the trip passing Bagaya Monastery, U Bein Bridge & Sagaing Hill. After lunch, drive to Kaung Hmu Daw Pagoda. Then Proceed to Monywa. On the way, visit Thanboddhay ( if you have time visit also Bodhi Tahtaung & Po Kaung Taung ). Check in hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12 ( Monywa – Pakkoku – Bagan )

Early breakfast, early morning visit to Po Win Taung with ancient Buddha images Jatakas murals by crossing the Chin Dwin River from Nyaung Bin Gyi jetty. Tame Monkeys abound & can be fed by visitors. You should leave Monywa before noon / noon latest to be in time for ferry & bridge crossing to Bagan. Monywa – Chaung Oo – Pakkoku ( 4 hours ) take 4 hrs. drive. ( if you have time ) visit around Pakkoku & cross the Irrawaddy ( the last ferry is at 5 pm ). Then about one hour drive to Bagan from jetty. Check in hotel. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 ( Bagan )

Visit the whole day in Bagan. First sightseeing to Nyaung Oo Market to see traditional Myanmar life. Day 15 ( Bagan – Yangon )

Early breakfast, transfer to Bagan Airport for Yangon flight.. Arrive Yangon & check in hotel. Afternoon tour starts after lunch. Kaba Aye Pagoda ( World Peace ), Mahapasana Cave – when sixth Buddha Synod took place in 1956, China town, Yangon jetty, 80 years old colonial style buildings around the famous Strand Hotel & Botataung Pagoda.
